Graphics for Actions
In 2021, I collaborated with Zivia Brown, a Photoshop wizard and former student, to create these graphics for a march in support of proposed changes to the way Pennsylvania funds its public schools. The new formula would collect and distribute money state wide, rather than basing funding on property taxes, an inherently unequal system. It was a sheer delight to work with Zivia, whose skills have far surpassed mine, to come up with designs neither of us could have created alone.
I created this graphic for the 2021 Walk for Our Grandchildren, which went from Scranton, Pennsylvania, to Wilmington, Delaware. Along the route, participants heard from frontline organizers fighting against fossil fuels, attended rallies, and took part in civil disobedience. This march was in support of the Green New Deal, Thrive Agenda, and the developing Red, Black, and Green New Deal promoted by the Movement for Black Lives.
